What is a canned response?

A canned response — also called a quick reply or saved reply — is a pre-written message template for answering common questions quickly and consistently.

Most inboxes get the same questions over and over: hours, pricing, how to reset something, where to find a file. Canned responses let your team answer those in one click instead of retyping the same paragraph — which saves time and keeps the wording consistent across everyone.

The best canned responses are still personal: a good tool lets you drop in a template and then tweak a line or two before sending, so replies stay human.
