Reading Emails
When a new email arrives, MailFellow forwards it to your chat platform as a rich notification. Here's what you see and what you can do.
Email Notification
Each forwarded email shows:
- Sender:name and email address
- Subject:the email subject line
- Preview:a short snippet of the email body
- CC recipients:if the email has CC addresses
- Category badge:Support, Sales, Billing, Spam, or Other (when AI is enabled)
- Summary:a 1-2 sentence AI summary (when AI is enabled)
- Translation:an English translation if the email is in another language (when translation is enabled)
- VIP indicator:highlighted if the sender is on your VIP list
Action Buttons
Every email notification includes interactive buttons:
- View in Browser:opens the full email with all formatting and images in a private link (valid for 10 minutes)
- Resolved:mark the thread as resolved
- Send Thanks:send a quick thank-you reply
- Assign:assign the email to yourself or a team member
- Block Sender:stop all future emails from this sender
- Delete:delete the email
Threading
MailFellow groups related emails into threads. When a follow-up email arrives on an existing conversation, it is posted in the same thread (Discord thread, Slack thread, Telegram reply, etc.) rather than creating a new notification. This keeps your channel clean.
Attachments
Email attachments are forwarded to your chat platform as files, posted inside the thread. File size limits depend on the platform (e.g. Discord allows up to 25 MB per file).
Dashboard View
You can also view your recent email threads on the dashboard, which shows each thread's status (awaiting reply, you replied, they replied, resolved), message count, and VIP badge.
