Team Members
Add team members who can reply to emails, use quick responses, and get assigned to threads. Team members are pulled from your connected chat platform (Discord or Slack) and can be given custom display names and email signatures.
How It Works
When a team member replies to an email via your chat platform (using reactions, quick replies, or the send command), MailFellow sends the reply from your connected email account. The team member's display name and signature are used in the outgoing email.
Adding Team Members
- Go to Settings > Members
- MailFellow fetches the member list from your connected platform:
- Discord: members of your server (guild)
- Slack: members of your workspace
- Select the members you want to authorize by checking the box next to their name
- Click Save
Display Names
By default, replies are sent using the connected email account's name. You can set a custom display name for each team member that will appear in the "From" header of outgoing emails.
- Go to Settings > Members
- Click on a team member's name
- Enter a Display Name (e.g. "Jane from Support")
- Click Save
When that team member sends a reply, the email will show: Jane from Support <support@yourcompany.com>
Email Signatures
Each team member can have their own email signature that is automatically appended to their replies.
- Go to Settings > Members
- Click on a team member's name
- Enter their Signature in the text area
- Click Save
Removing Team Members
- Go to Settings > Members
- Uncheck the member you want to remove
- Click Save
Removed members can no longer reply to emails through MailFellow, but their previous actions remain in the audit log.
Assigning Emails to Members
Team members can be assigned to specific email threads. See the Assignment guide for details on how assignment works across platforms.
